Lupita Nyong'o considered career in alternative medicine

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o considered pursuing a career in alternative medicine after discovering a natural cure for an undiagnosed skin condition.

The 12 Years A Slave actress, who has been named People magazine's Most Beautiful star, reveals she suffered from an unsightly rash on her face when she was a child, but she managed to overcome the condition thanks to a special herbal remedy.

The Kenyan-Mexican beauty tells People magazine, "I had very patchy, rashy skin, mainly on my face. My mother found some remedy in Madagascar, like herbs in a vial. Oh, it smelled terrible - but it worked...

"If I weren't an actress, I would probably go into alternative medicine. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about that at the moment!"
