Louis Tomlinson has reportedly called in the police to investigate a string of chilling threats made towards his family.
The One Direction star, 25, received messages on the WhatsApp text message app from an individual who told him they would "skin" his family, according to TheBlast.com.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) sources told the gossip website officers have launched an investigation after Louis and his attorney Blair Berk handed over evidence documenting the threats.
One of the messages reportedly read, "Louis I'll skin your whole family including you and turn y'all into bedsheets, pillow cases, and a queen size blanket."
The threats were allegedly sent from three separate telephone numbers.
Law enforcement sources told the website that Louis contacted one culprit in an attempt to stop the harassment but received an abusive reply referencing his mother Johanna, who passed away aged just 43 last year (16) after a battle with leukemia.
The harasser, believed to be a young American woman, allegedly responded, "F**k You!" and "F**k your mom and your family!"
In January last year (16) Louis became a father with the birth of his son, Freddie Reign.
Officers from the LAPD's Threat Management Unit are reportedly closing in on the suspects.
