Lorde Muppet auctioned off for charity

A one-of-a-kind Muppet made in the likeness of pop star Lorde has gone under the hammer to raise money for charity.

The Muppets Studio team responsible for Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy created a custom puppet in orange felt that features the Royals hitmaker's distinctive big hair and heavy eye make-up.

The unique collectable, which was made to coincide with the release of the new Muppets Most Wanted film, was sold on New Zealand auction website Trade Me to raise money for children's healthcare charity the Starship Foundation, and it fetched $3,000.
