Rapper/actor Ll Cool J has been tapped to host a new TV lip-syncing battle series executive produced by actors John Krasinski and Stephen Merchant.
The hip-hop star will emcee the competition programme called Lip Sync Battle, based on a comedy segment Krasinski initially developed for talk show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in 2013.
The popular game features celebrities miming to their favourite songs, and in addition to Krasinski and Merchant, stars such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emma Stone, Paul Rudd, and Blake Shelton have all taken part in the head-to-head competition.
LL Cool J will also produce the show, while Krasinski, Merchant, and Fallon will serve as executive producers.
The 10-episode series will premiere on Spike TV network on 2 April (15).
