Lindsay Lohan's character written out of Machete sequel
Lindsay Lohan's ailing career has been dealt yet another blow as her gun-toting character in Machete has been written out of the film's sequel.
Director Robert Rodriguez gave Lohan a chance to return to the big screen in his violent 2010 film, but the troubled star was cut from the trailer and the end credits after she was convicted of violating the terms of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.
The filmmaker has now confirmed that Lohan's 'nun with a gun'
character April will not feature in his upcoming follow-up, Machete
Kills.
He tells MTV.com, "No, she's not in it. We thought to (sic) bring
her back because we like that character, but it didn't fit into the
story."
The news comes as Lohan is due back in court in Los Angeles on
Wednesday (30Jan13) to fight claims she violated her probation from
a 2011 necklace theft conviction by allegedly lying to a police
officer following a car crash in California last summer (12).
