Lindsay Lohan has confessed to lying to her father about the spat she had with her mother Dina on Tuesday night (09Oct12).
The actress called her estranged dad, Michael, during a late-night row with her mom, prompting him to call the police and report a disturbance at his ex's Long Island, New York home.
Michael then went public about the spat, telling media outlets and TV news shows his daughter had alleged her mom had been taking cocaine, locked her in a limousine and refused to hand back a $40,000 loan.
Lohan has now spoken out about the drama, insisting she was a real-life mean girl for making up lies about her mother in the phone chat with her dad.
Calling into TMZ.com's live daily video chat, the actress told editor Harvey Levin, "I told my dad a really hurtful and untruthful lie about my mom. She was not on cocaine... Daughters have fights with their moms. It happens a lot. It's normal."
She then attacked Michael for turning the family fight into a national news item, revealing he recorded the father-and-daughter phone chat for "his benefit" and that she should never have trusted him, raging, "As a man, you don't do this to your child... I'm ashamed for him. It is hurtful for me that he has chosen this road again."
She added, "He doesn't know what it means to be a father. He doesn't want to be a dad."
Michael and Dina Lohan have been waging a war of words with each other for years, and the feud hit the headlines again this summer (12) when she accused her ex of repeatedly abusing her during their marriage.
Michael insisted his former wife was lying, stating, "It's one lie after another; it just doesn't stop... I don't know why she comes up with these things."
