Lindsay Lohan: 'I am not drinking again'
Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has dismissed suggestions she has returned to drinking after she was pictured clubbing during her recent trip to London.
The Mean Girls star completed a 90-day stint at a rehab center in California last summer (13) after years of legal troubles, and she subsequently insisted she had given up her hard-partying lifestyle along with drink and drugs.
However, Lohan sparked fears for her health this month (Jan14)
after she was pictured at numerous nightclubs during her trip to
London, with rumors suggesting she had gone back to her bad girl
ways.
The actress has now spoken out to insist she is still clean and
sober as she doesn't actually consume any booze on her nights
out.
She tells Australian radio station KIIS 1065, "I'm around people
that go out and people that drink... I wouldn't go out with my
friends and expect them not to have a drink. That doesn't mean that
I have to do the same things that they are doing. I can still have
fun. I like being around people. I love music. I'm social. That's
who I am, and if I have nothing to do the next day, then I can go
out with my friends the night before... People have had so many
things to say about the things that I do that weren't necessarily
true... It's (not drinking) a choice."
Lohan goes on to insist she has cut many of her associates out of
her life as she believed them to be a bad influence: "I know a lot
of people in my life that weren't necessarily the best influences
and were... just there just to be there. I don't really have those
people in my life any more. So I don't end up in situations where I
am going to compromise myself."
