Lindsay Lohan has dismissed weird reports her on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson staged an intervention in a bid to save the star from meeting an untimely end.

The National Enquirer reported that Samantha Ronson was so terrified for the Hollywood wildchild's health, she recruited loved ones to confront Lindsay Lohan about her alleged drug abuse.The tabloid also speculated that Ronson had managed to convince the 23 year old to check into counselling sessions they would both attend.But Lindsay Lohan herself has dismissed the story as weird and incorrect, telling GossipCop.com she just helped her DJ pal celebrate her 32nd birthday on Friday (07Aug09).The star adds, Sam, (Lohan's sister) Ali and I just landed back in L.A. Had a really great weekend in Chicago, celebrating Samantha's birthday with (members of Ronson's family and friends).
