Lindsay Lohan and her brother want former associate jailed

Lindsay Lohan and her brother Michael have asked a judge to consider putting an alleged former business associate behind bars for falsely accusing the siblings of stealing his idea for an online shopping app.

The Lohans want Fima Potik to be heavily fined and potentially jailed for slandering them in a business dispute.

A lawyer representing the actress and her brother, insists Potik wasn't the creator of the app and has accused him of "abusing the court system."

Michael Lohan, Jr. appeared in a Manhattan courtroom on behalf of the siblings on Thursday (06Aug15), when Potik was given a month to find new counsel after his lawyers dumped him over unpaid legal bills, according to the New York Post.

He has also been ordered to hand over documents proving he came up with the idea for the app.
