Lil Wayne falls victim to another death hoax
Lil Wayne is alive and well after falling victim to another death hoax on Monday (16Dec13).
The Lollipop hitmaker hit headlines after a video titled, "RIP Lil Wayne, Rapper Found Dead", surfaced online and falsely reported that the star, who is epileptic, died after suffering a seizure.
Many are speculating that the video itself is a virus, since users
have to share the clip on Facebook.com before viewing it, which is
a common template used by hackers to spread malware on
computers.
But fans can rest assured that Wayne is fine and not deceased, as
the video reports.
Earlier this year (Mar13), the rapper was said to be near death
after suffering a seizure and being placed in a medically-induced
coma in the intensive care unit at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in
Los Angeles.
However, he later took to Twitter.com to assure devotees he was
making a recovery, writing, "I'm good everybody. Thnx (thanks) for
the prayers and love."
The health scare subsequently prompted Wayne, 31, to go public with
his epilepsy diagnosis.
