Liam Payne blasts documentary makers after suicide stories
One Direction star Liam Payne has blasted the producers of a scathing documentary about the group's fans following reports suggesting a group of devotees have committed suicide after the TV special aired in the U.K. on Thursday night (15Aug13).
Unconfirmed reports suggest as many as 40 devotees, known as Larry Shippers, have taken their lives because the documentary Crazy About One Direction made them look like "psychos".
The Larry Shippers are a subdivision of One Direction fans who
fantasise about a romance between bandmate Louis Tomlinson and his
bandmate Harry Styles.
Payne has now taken to Twitter.com to attack the drama, writing,
"Not really sure what's going on right now I just hope everyone's
ok... Hearing some horrible things... Really hope this isn't
true.
"Just so all of you know we love you guys and we know how dedicated
you are and tbh (to be honest) we can't believe it that you guys
spend all your time on us.
"We couldn't give a f**k what any documentary says. They're
dramatised for entertainment and full of s**t anyway. We all know
how hard you work for us and see it everyday at our shows.
"Let's all take a step back and think about what we/you have all
achieved. You should be proud."
