Leona Lewis rewards fans for delayed album

Written by . Published: December 05 2011

British singer Leona Lewis is releasing a special mini-album as a thank you to fans - as she "feels bad" for delaying her next record until next year (12).

The Bleeding Love hitmaker announced in September (11) that her third album, which was scheduled for a November (11) release, will not hit stores until 2012.

She has now announced plans for a release of new songs in time for Christmas, as a prelude for her main record, which is set to feature DJ Calvin Harris and Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande.

Leona Lewis tells Britain's Daily Star, "I've worked with Calvin on a song and want to do another - he's so talented. I'm planning an EP (extended play) before the end of the year as I feel bad for everyone who was expecting the album this year. But the lead song won't be the track I've done with Emeli Sande - that's for the album."
