Leighton Meester and Vera Wang to be honoured for charity work

Leighton Meester and designer Vera Wang are set to be feted in New York next month (May13) for their efforts to help eradicate blood cancer.
The Gossip Girl star and Wang will be jointly presented with the Delete Blood Cancer Award for their promotion of Delete Blood Cancer DKMS' Share the Love campaign which encourages people to register as bone marrow donors.
The evening will feature a performance by Grammy Award-winning band
Lady Antebellum.
All proceeds raised from the event, held at the Cipriani venue in
Manhattan on 1 May (13), will be used to register lifesaving bone
marrow donors.
Meester is the face of Wang's Lovestruck fragrance line.
