LeAnn Rimes bounces back from surgery to kick off tour

Leann Rimes played through the pain as she kicked off her tour in New Jersey on Friday (11May12), just days after undergoing oral surgery.

The country star was in agony after mouth surgery on Wednesday (09May12) and she went back to the dentist the following day (10May12) to have stitches removed.

However, Rimes refused to let her swollen face keep her from the stage - the Blue hitmaker launched her latest trek by performing an acoustic show at the State Theatre in New Brunswick for a sold-out crowd.

She tweeted, "Wonderful show tonight in NJ, even in pain. Lil (sic) swollen, but ok. Thank you to a great crowd. Going to sleep w/ (with) warm rice in a sock on my face, doc's orders. It smells like popcorn in here!!!!"
