British pop stars Lawson have promised to donate all the proceeds from an upcoming gig to a teenage cancer sufferer.

The band plays at Burnley College, at the University of Central Lancashire in England, on Sunday (04May14) and they have already sold at least 1,500 tickets to fans for $40 each, raising $60,000 .

The group has promised all the money raised will be given to 19-year-old Stephen Sutton, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer aged 15 and set himself the target of raising $1.6 million for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity as part of his 'bucket list'.

Sutton has reportedly already raised more than three times his target, including a $16,000 donation from comic Jason Manford and support from other celebrities including One Direction's Louis Tomlinson.
