Lance Bass weighs in on 'NSYNC reunion rumors
Lance Bass has responded to reports suggesting his former boy band 'Nsync is preparing to perform reunite at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (25Aug13).
The rumor mill was sent into overdrive on Tuesday (20Aug13) with speculation that the Bye Bye Bye hitmakers will perform together at the ceremony in Brooklyn, New York when former bandmember Justin Timberlake receives the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Bass weighed in on the gossip during his SiriusXM radio show Dirty
Pop, but he stopped short of confirming whether or not the comeback
performance will take place.
He said, "Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson Vanguard
Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are
automatically going to think we’re going to be there performing,
but this is exactly how it happened and I knew these rumors were
going to fly."
Bass admitted he feels partially responsible for sparking the
excitement by posting a photo of himself with bandmates Joey Fatone
and Chris Kirkpatrick on Instagram.com.
He adds, "I think that's what started the rumor that there's going
to be this big reunion with 'NSYNC. It's amazing to see the
reaction out there on Twitter and social media (and) how many
people are supporting 'NSYNC. It's so nice to see because when we
ended things (over) 10 years ago, there was no social media, there
was no Twitter, but it's so cute to see how many people are
supporting (us) and 'NSYNC was even trending."
