Lamar Odom sued over publicized paparazzo clash
Khloe Kardashian's basketball player husband Lamar Odom has been slapped with a lawsuit over his highly-publicized clash with a paparazzo in July (13).
The embattled sportsman hit headlines earlier this summer (13) when he became engaged in a confrontation with snapper Stefan Saad in Los Angeles after he was quizzed about rumors his marriage to the reality TV star was on the rocks.
Video footage of the incident featured Odom rifling through the
back seat of the photographer's car, taking out his camera and
other equipment and throwing it on the ground. He was also filmed
waving a tripod at another paparazzo.
The run-in sparked a police investigation, but the case was settled
without charge after Odom agreed to pay for the broken equipment
last month (Aug13).
However, Saad is refusing to let the incident go and has now taken
civil action against Odom, accusing him of destroying $15,000
-worth of goods. He is suing for assault, conversion and trespass
of property and is demanding more than $565,000 , on top of
punitive damages, reports TMZ.com.
The lawsuit is the latest drama in Odom's life - he was recently
arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and earlier this
month (Sep13), he left a rehabilitation center a day after checking
in to seek treatment for a reported drug problem.
