Lady Gaga's new Malibu mansion has Batcave

Lady Gaga's new mansion features a secret hidden room inspired by Batman's home.

The Born This Way hitmaker recently paid $23 million for a Mediterranean-style villa overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, California, and one of the unique features of the property is an underground living area similar to the Batcave.

Gaga purchased the home from Warner Bros.' consumer products division founder Dan Romanelli, who tells the Wall Street Journal, "Batman was something that really helped build my division."

Romanelli built the hideaway to house his collection of vintage toys and arcade games for his grandchildren to enjoy, as well as "older people like myself who feel like kids".

The space can be accessed through a secret passageway in the living room, and it features a 1960s-style bowling alley and two basketball free-throw machines.

The sprawling home also includes five bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a home theatre, gaming room, 800-bottle wine cellar, gym, bocce ball court and horse stables with riding trails.
