LADY GAGA PICKS UP LATE AWARDS

Lady Gaga picked up three trophies from Germany's Echo Awards on Tuesday (11May10) - two months after she swept the board at the annual music event.

The pop superstar was the toast of the German music industry in March (10) when she dominated the Echo Awards ceremony, scooping three of the night's main prizes - including Best Newcomer, Best International Rock or Pop Act, and Hit Of The Year for Poker Face.

But the singer's hectic schedule prevented her from attending the bash, and she only collected her prizes on Tuesday, when she was in Berlin to perform her Monster Ball tour.

However, the star almost failed to pick up the awards again - she had to be helped onstage by staff at the presentation after donning an outlandish cape and platform shoes without heels.
