The Poker Face singer will face off with Katy Perry in four categories, while Bruno Mars leads the field for male acts, scooping Best New Act, Best Male, Best Song and Best Push nods.

Gaga will also take on rock bands in the Best Live act category - she's been pitted against the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay, as well as Perry.

She'll battle her contemporaries for the Best Female statuette, going up against Adele, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry, while the Best Male contest is between Bruno Mars, David Guetta, Eminem, Justin Bieber and Kanye West.

The prestigious Best Video honour will be a battle between Adele's Rolling in the Deep, Beastie Boys' Make Some Noise, Born This Way by Gaga, Beyonce's Run the World (Girls) and Justice's Civilization.
