Lady Gaga fans appalled by new waxwork 'likeness'

Lady Gaga's fans have slammed bosses at a wax museum in Lima, Peru for turning the pop star into a ghoul.

Devotees are appalled by the apparent likeness that has gone on display in the city, insisting it looks nothing like the Poker Face singer, and they have hit Twitter to mock the witch-like figure in a meat dress like the one their heroine wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

One fan tweeted: "How on earth did someone get paid to professionally make a Lady Gaga wax figure that looks like this?"

Another adds: "It's a Wax sculpture of an alien cockroach that murdered Lady Gaga and is wearing her skin."

Wax museum bosses have yet to comment on the backlash after introducing the new Gaga figure last week (ends20Oct17).
