Lady Antebellum stunned by surprise marching band

Lady Antebellum were left stunned during their show in Georgia on Tuesday (22May12) when a local school's marching band invaded the stage.

The country group was performing in Augusta, but its rendition of We Owned the Night was interrupted by a group of musicians from Lakeside High School, the alma mater of Lady Antebellum bandmembers Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley.

Video footage of the surprise stage invasion shows the group open-mouthed, with singer Hillary Scott declaring, "What's going on?"

Following the show, she said, "They surprised us with a marching band. It was so cool!"

Haywood adds, "Our show is so dialled in after all these months of touring that it takes a lot to surprise us. A full marching band did it though! It was incredible...I'm sure we had a 'deer in the headlights' look."
