KT Tunstall thanks fans for support after father's death

Singer Kt Tunstall has thanked fans for their support following the recent death of her dad.

The Suddenly I See hitmaker pulled out of a festival appearance in England last Monday (27Aug12) following a sudden passing in the family, and subsequently revealed she is mourning her father.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she wrote, "I lost my brilliant, irreverent Dad. Mountaineer, marathon runner & great physicist. So loved & so brave."

Tunstall returned to the site on Monday (03Sep12) to thank her followers for their kind words of support, adding, "Thankyou SO much for all your amazing messages, yer (sic) a lovely bunch you are. So nice to have a web of positivity around such a hard time."
