Actress Kristin Chenoweth has won an apology from an American airline following a bust-up with a flight attendant.

The Glee star complained that a member of the American Airlines crew became "abusive" when she tried to board a flight from Dallas, Texas to Los Angeles with her dog on Tuesday.

Chenoweth claimed the woman screamed at her and embarrassed her in front of other passengers after wrongly suggesting the actress did not have the proper paperwork to bring her pet on the plane.

She told followers in a post on Twitter.com, "American Airlines: Dallas flight attnt supservisor (sic)... Abuse not ok. Trip from hell."

Executives at American Airlines have now issued an apology to Chenoweth and refunded some of her fare.

The statement, obtained by TMZ.com, reads, "We have been in touch with Ms. Chenoweth to offer our apologies for the misunderstanding. We refunded the ($125) cabin pet charge as soon as we realized the mistake. We hope she will consider flying American again in the future."
