Kristen Wiig goes public with new romance

Kristen Wiig went public with her new beau in a passionate display on Wednesday (04May16).

The 42-year-old actress was seen cuddling up to actor/writer Avi Rothman while on a romantic break in Kauai, Hawaii. Kristen, who wore a strapless black bikini top and mismatched navy bottoms, appeared entirely smitten with her partner, with the pair seen kissing and walking along hand in hand on the sand.

Pictures of the tender display come amid reports the pair has been together for a while but kept the romance under wraps.

"They've been secretly dating for a few months," a source told People magazine. "He's her boyfriend. They're really happy together."

As an actor, Avi has appeared in television shows such as Co-op of the Damned and Franklin & Bash. He has also penned six projects - a mixture of television movies and shorts.

The romance is the first for Kristen since she split from Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti in July 2013 after an 18-month relationship.

Prior to that, she was married to actor Hayes Hargrove before the pair split in 2009 after four years of marriage. She then had a relationship with long-term friend, producer Brian Petsos.

In an interview back in 2013, Kristen told Britain's Look magazine that she hasn't ruled out getting married again if she finds the right man.

"I believe if you're in a good, healthy relationship, there is nothing better," she said. I don't have a specific stance on marriage. I think it's right for some people, and I know a lot of people who didn't believe in it, then they met someone.

"It depends on what your definition of marriage is. If you find that one person who makes you really happy, it can work and if it's worth it, you just have to keep fighting for it."

Kristen added in the interview that she's keen to have a baby at some point, explaining: "I'd like to have a family... I would love to have kids."
