Kings of Leon debut new material at rescheduled gig

Kings Of Leon treated fans to new material as they took to the stage for the rescheduled Governors Ball music festival in New York on Saturday (08Jun13).

The Sex on Fire hitmakers were due to headline the Friday night (07Jun13) concert, but their set was scrapped due to strong winds and heavy rain.

They were added to the Saturday concert instead after the weather cleared, and decided to show off one of their new songs from the band's upcoming album, which is set to be released in September (13).

Frontman Caleb Followill told the crowd, "We're gonna play a new song we've never played before, so if we mess it up it's your fault."

He then added, "How are you guys doing out there? It's a beautiful day. As you guys know we were supposed to be doing this last night, and we're supposed to be getting ready to go to London right about now... but some of our equipment had to go on ahead, but we're still going to give you our best show."

Kings of Leon are set to kick off their European tour in London on Wednesday (12May13).

Guns N' Roses and Kanye West also performed at the Governors Ball concerts.
