Kim Kardashian has become "more of a recluse" during her pregnancy because she is preparing to protect the privacy of her baby.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and her rapper boyfriend Kanye West are expecting their first child in July (13), but the mother-to-be is keeping a low profile during the final months leading up to the birth, for the sake of her first-born.
She tells Britain's Fabulous magazine, "I'm definitely more of a recluse since I was pregnant. But I haven't necessarily decided to hold myself back, it's just preparing myself for respecting the privacy of my child and my boyfriend. We live different lives, but I love being open. That's who I've always been and sharing so much of myself - I love that. That'll never change because that is who I am. It's more about gearing up to protect other people."
Kardashian admits she feels anxious about exposing her baby to the spotlight, but is reassured by the attitude of her teenage half-sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, who first appeared on the family's reality show as children.
She adds, "It does worry me when I think about it, but, at the same time, my little sisters have grown up so amazingly, with really good heads on their shoulders."
