Kim Kardashian sends Ariel Winter flowers for nude photo support

Kim Kardashian has thanked Ariel Winter with flowers after the actress stood up for the reality TV beauty amid her nude photo backlash.

Kanye West's wife found herself under attack earlier this month (Mar16) after posting a daring naked snap on social media, preserving her modesty with just two black bars.

The image drew criticism from the likes of veteran entertainer Bette Midler and actress Chloe Grace Moretz, who accused Kim of being a bad role model to young girls, while Abigail Breslin, Modern Family's Ariel Winter and Gone Girl star Emily Ratajkowski spoke out in defense of the mother-of-two.

Now Kim has expressed her gratitude to her famous fans for taking her side by sending out bouquets of white tulips and ivory roses.

Ariel posted a snap of her surprise delivery on Instagram on Thursday (17Mar16), showing off the handwritten note Kim had penned for her.

"Ariel - Hey I wanted you to know I saw your tweets last week and I really appreciate your support," Kim wrote on the bouquet's accompanying card. "Women supporting other women is so powerful! xoxo Kim".

The 18-year-old captioned the image, "'Women supporting other women is so powerful.' - Mrs. West ps. I gotchu (sic) @kimkardashian always xo".

Earlier this week (begs14Mar16), Emily shared a similar picture of her gift on Twitter, after showing solidarity with Kim by posting her own nude snap online.

"Thank you for the beautiful flowers and note @kimkardashian," the 24-year-old wrote beside the photo. "It's so important that we let women express their sexuality and share their bodies however they choose."

Kim initially snapped back at her detractors with cutting comments online, but on 8 March (16), in celebration of International Women's Day, she took to her blog to call for an end to the nasty criticism.

"I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives..." she began.

"It's 2016. The body-shaming and slut-shaming - it's like, enough is enough. I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me. I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur and I am allowed to be sexy."
