Kim Kardashian's luggage allegations prompts airline investigation

Bosses at British Airways have launched an investigation after Kim Kardashian alleged some personal items went missing from her suitcase last week.

The reality TV star had been visiting the U.K. and Europe to promote her new fragrance True Reflection, and even put in an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

She flew back to Los Angeles from Nice, France via London's Heathrow Airport over the weekend but took to her Twitter.com account when she landed in America to allege that some of her belongings had disappeared from her luggage.

Kardashian wrote, "Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage & taking some special items of mine! Some things are sentimental & not replaceable."

Officials at the airline are now looking into the star's allegations, and a spokesperson tells Britain's Evening Standard, "Terminal 5 (at Heathrow) has some of the most sophisticated automated baggage systems in the world, which are able to monitor bags every minute of their time in the terminal.

"At this stage, we have discovered no evidence to suggest that the bag in question was interfered with at Heathrow. Our investigation is seeking to establish details of the bag's passage through Nice and Los Angeles airports."
