Kim Kardashian 'mentally prepped' herself to be raped and killed during robbery

Kim Kardashian had mentally prepared herself to be raped and shot during her armed robbery ordeal in Paris in October (16).

The reality TV star was bound, gagged and held at gunpoint as armed men gained access to her private hotel suite in the French capital and stole millions of dollars' worth of jewelry and electronics.

She has opened up about the frightening experience on her reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, with earlier previews revealing she feared she would be shot if she tried to run away, and on Sunday night's (19Mar17) episode, she confessed she thought she would be raped when one of the men placed duct tape on her mouth, grabbed her legs and pulled her towards him on the bed.

“This is the moment they’re going to rape me. I fully mentally prepped myself, and then he didn’t,” Kim recalled.

She had been on her own that evening as her bodyguard Pascal Duvier had been out with her sister Kourtney, and Kim remembers thinking of her sister finding her body during what she thought was her final moments.

“I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed,” Kim said.

“I have a family. I have my kids, my husband, my mom - I’m not going to make it out of here. I know how these things go,” she added of her thought process.

The 36-year-old was surprised when the men picked her up and put her in the bathtub before leaving the scene.

Her mother Kris Jenner was overcome with emotion when speaking about the experience on camera, saying, "It's been the most devastating thing to have one of your children fear for their life, thinking at any moment they were gonna die, when they have two small children... For the rest of us, the thought of losing Kim is emotionally scarring, and hard to overcome."

Footage also showed Kim’s husband Kanye West telling the family if something had happened to Kim he "wouldn't have stopped until they were dead".

The family stepped up the security presence at their home following the incident and Kris urged Kim to talk to a professional because she feared she would suffer from shock and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

"I think I'll be fine. My body just feels drained," Kim responded. "I feel like I've been in a fight or something and my body has just been exhausted for the past three days."

French authorities have since charged 10 suspects with crimes including armed robbery, kidnapping and weapons possession, and Kim met with a French judge in New York in February (17) to give her testimony as part of the case.
