Kim Kardashian: 'Marriage split was a bad business decision'
Kim Kardashian has rebuffed accusations her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries was a money-making sham, insisting she made no cash from her highly-publicised wedding.
The socialite married the sportsman in a lavish, televised ceremony in August (11) but she filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage.
The split prompted allegations the wedding was purely for the
cameras, but Kardashian is adamant that if the union was fuelled by
finances, she wouldn't have called it off so soon after exchanging
vows.
She tells Live! with Kelly host Kelly Ripa, "If you really think
about (it), if this was a business decision and I really made all
that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this
wedding, and if the wedding was fake and just for TV - I'm a smart
businesswoman, I would have stayed married longer. This was a bad
business decision.
"If you really think about it, it doesn't make sense that everyone
says that. I really didn't think that following my heart would
create this much backlash."
The reality TV star also admits she watches footage of her time
with Humphries on her show Kourtney and Kim Take New York because
she finds it "therapeutic".
