Leonardo DiCaprio is set to portray a notorious serial killer in a new big screen biopic, according to a report.
The actor's Appian Way production company has acquired the screen rights to The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic And Madness At The Fair That Changed America, which tells the story of prolific murderer Dr. H.H. Holmes.
Holmes is believed to have murdered up to 200 people in Chicago in the run-up to 1893's World's Fair, luring them back to a hotel before brutally killing them.
And DiCaprio will scare cinemagoers by taking on the morbid lead role, according to Deadline Hollywood.
