Khloe Kardashian shares inspiring message after hike with Lamar Odom

Reality television star Khloe Kardashian has encouraged fans to find empowerment "through crying and defeat" after spending time with her recuperating husband Lamar Odom.

The 31-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians personality found herself in a horrific situation a few months ago, as former professional athlete Lamar fell into a coma and was put on life support after overdosing on drugs at a Nevada brothel in October (15).

The ex basketball player is now on the mend and he was even able to take a hike with Khloe and her older sister Kim on Sunday (7Feb16).

It seems Khloe was deeply moved by seeing estranged spouse Lamar engage in physical activity following his recent near-death experience, writing on her Instagram account shortly after the recreational excursion took place: "Everything happens for a reason... Right?! I'm a firm believer of this saying. We may not understand why we have to walk a certain path or why when it rains, it pours but trust that God has a plan. 'Walk by faith, not by sight.'

"We must lose in order to gain. Lessons are best taught through our darkest hour. Through crying and defeat. Through sorrow and loss. All of my pain or sadness has only built my strength, soul, character and wisdom. One day, all of our trails and tribulations will add up and make perfect sense.

"Until that day comes, learn to laugh at confusion and dance in the rain. 'The pain that you have been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming' Romans 8:18".

Khloe's message was infused with religious undertones through her inclusion of quotes from the Second Epistle to the Corinthians and the Epistle to the Romans sections of the Christian sacred text the Holy Bible.

Khloe and Lamar split in 2013, but she has put their divorce proceedings on hold to allow the former sportsman to focus on his recovery. While he was comatose, she made life or death decisions about medical procedures because although estranged, they were still legally wed when Lamar was on life support. Although she is still tied to Lamar, Khloe is currently in a romantic relationship with James Harden, having struck up an affair with him in June 2015.
