Khloe Kardashian cancels book signings due to mystery illness

Reality star Khloe Kardashian has been forced to cancel two book signings because of a mystery illness.

The 31 year old has been busy promoting her lifestyle tome Strong Looks Better Naked in the last few weeks, but on Wednesday (18Nov15) the star had to give fans in Houston, Texas the bad news that she wouldn't be attending a signing date.

"Dolls! So sorry I needed 2 re schedule my book signing," she tweeted. "I'm sick & dr's (doctor's) orders are that I need to lay low until we narrow down what's wrong (sic)."

Khloe was unsure exactly what was wrong with her and didn't reveal how long she had felt unwell, but she later suggested the high levels of stress she has been under lately could be at the center of the problem.

"I'll be going for more testing today," she added. "I'm very sorry again. Stress can run our bodies down so please everyone take care of yourselves."

Khloe has been under a lot of pressure in recent months after her estranged husband Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October (15). She flew out to be by his bedside and has spent weeks offering him her support, postponing the start of her book tour to care for the fallen basketball star. But, as his condition has improved, she has been able to resume some of her promotional activities.

Sources tell TMZ.com Khloe's attempts to care for her ailing husband may have resulted in her illness, suggesting she has a serious staph infection, which she contracted at the hospital where Lamar is recovering.

Lamar has been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for a month, and Khloe has been a frequent visitor.

The insiders tell the website Khloe has a lesion on her leg and has developed a high fever and swollen glands.
