Kerry Washington's husband cut from football team
Kerry Washington's husband Nnamdi Asomugha has suffered a sporting blow - he has been released from football team the San Francisco 49ers.
Her new husband's contract has been waived by the California team after coaches opted to make some strategic changes to their roster.
Asomugha has been with the 49ers since April (13), but he only
played in three games before hyper extending his knee.
The news of Asomugha's unemployment comes just two days after his
wife's triumphant debut as the host of sketch comedy show Saturday
Night Live, which garnered high ratings at the weekend.
The newlyweds exchanged vows in a secret low-key ceremony in June
(13), and they are reportedly expecting their first child
together.
Asomugha was once one of the top players in the NFL. He previously
played for the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles.
