Kelly Rutherford reunited with her kids amid custody battle

Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford has been reunited with her two children following a bitter international court battle with her German ex-husband, according to a report.

The actress has been forced to fly back and forth to Europe to see her kids since last year (12) when a judge ruled Hermes, six, and Helena, three, should live full-time with their father, businessman Daniel Giersch, in France.

Rutherford has fought the ruling in the courts, while making at least 40 trips abroad to visit her children, but a judge has now reinstated her custody rights, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The publication reports the children have been allowed to fly back home and are now spending time with their mother in New York's Hamptons.

No further details about the new arrangement were available as WENN went to press, but a further hearing in the ongoing custody battle is due to take place in September (13).

The actress recently filed for bankruptcy amid spiralling legal bills.
