Kelly Rowland: 'Keyshia Cole's comments don't matter'

Singer Kelly Rowland has taken the high road in the Keyshia Cole/Destiny'S Child dispute, insisting the R&B star's catty comments about her former bandmate Michelle Williams' performance at the Super Bowl mean nothing to the group's fans.

Williams and Rowland reunited with Beyonce at the Super Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana, last month (Feb13), and most of the trio's peers were left applauding the performance.

But Cole criticized Williams on Twitter, writing, "I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michell sung and woke my a** up from my daze! She always f**kN (sic) the groove up", prompting Destiny's Child fans to turn on her.

Speaking about Cole's critique for the first time, Rowland tells RollingStone.com, "It (her comments) didn't even make it on my radar until other people brought it up. It didn't even matter.

"We had a wonderful performance, and that's all I cared about. I was with my sisters and the three of us matter to each other, and that's all that counts. We matter to a lot more people, with all due respect, than her. So, I really don't care what she said."

Williams previously addressed reports suggesting she had responded to Cole's tweets immediately after the reunion gig during a radio chat in her native Chicago, Illinois, stating, "I would say, where did I have time? We were too busy celebrating, know what I mean? The unfortunate thing about social media (is) so many things can be fabricated. I did not tweet what was said that I tweeted."

Williams has refused to comment directly on what Cole wrote about her.
