Kelly Rowland has been left red-faced after suffering urinary incontinence after giving birth to her son.

The former Destiny’s Child singer and her husband Tim Witherspoon welcomed their little boy Titan in November 2014 and Kelly has documented her journey motherhood journey in new book Whoa, Baby!.

What’s surprised the star most about becoming a mom though is how her body has changed, as she opened up about suffering the embarrassing experience during an interview with TODAY.

"I felt like (doctors) just left you afterward," she recalled of becoming a parent, admitting she read tomes like What to Expect When You’re Expecting. "What happens now?”

Further explaining she suffered pain from breastfeeding among other issues, Kelly continued: "These are things that happen! We're human - it happens! Every mother has experienced it in one shape or another, and it's important to open the dialogue for it. Urinary incontinence, (for example). Being out in public, you sneeze or share a giggle with one of your friends... And you're thinking, I can not believe this happened to me."

Kelly, 36, was left with so many questions after giving birth that she confessed to bombarding her doctor with queries on a daily basis, insisting that many mothers are just as curious about what happens after welcoming a child, as well as before.

The Voice Australia coach also touched upon her support for Band-Aid's #StickWithIt campaign, which encourages women to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams.

"I've been in a position where something really tries to knock you down, and I believed in myself enough to get back up and try again," she said. "I think that people don't talk about this openly enough. Everybody feels the need to be strong all the time, and that's just not the way life is."
