Kelis debuts drum skills at Isle of Wight festival

R&B singer Kelis stunned revellers at Britain's Isle of Wight festival on Friday (22Jun12) when she played the drums.

The Milkshake hitmaker was in the middle of performing her hit Bounce when she made her way over to the onstage kit, picked up a pair of sticks and began wildly pounding out the beat.

After her set, Kelis told how she only recently began taking lessons, insisting, "I decided to start playing the drums not too long ago, so I just figured why not?"

Despite severe storms turning the site off the south coast of England into a mudbath, Kelis was enjoying herself immensely.

She adds, "I love being here, it's amazing. Any place you got to take a boat to, you know it's gotta be good. You have to take a ferry to get here!... I love the dancing, I love all the festivals, I love being able to be outside and kind of get into the whole party vibe - I love that."
