Keira Knightley enjoys bridal tea party on TV
Keira Knightley was treated to a surprise tea party on TV in celebration of her upcoming wedding.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star opened up about her engagement to The Klaxons rocker James Righton during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, admitting she is clueless about traditional wedding customs.
She told the host, "I haven't planned anything and it's all quite
terrifying and I sort of looked up on the Internet: 'If you're
getting married, what should you do?' I really don't have a clue.
On the Internet, they keep talking about things like bridal tea
parties. What is a bridal tea party? I've never had a tea party in
my life so the idea that you should suddenly have a tea party
because you're getting married just really confused me."
DeGeneres then told her, "It's something you should at least
experience once," before handing her an old-fashioned powdered wig
to wear as classical violin music began playing.
Knightley giggled and called her surprise party "wicked" as a
'butler' in a pair of boxer shorts served the ladies tea in fine
china.
The full interview airs on Thursday (15Nov12).
