Katy Perry is a Twitter hit after stage comeback

Katy Perry became a hot topic on Twitter.com on Tuesday (13Sep11) after battling through an illness to perform a sold-out concert.

Perry brought her California Dreams Tour to the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, and sparked a Twitter craze as fans logged onto the social networking site to show their support for the recovering pop star.

'ColumbusDreams' became a 'trending topic' as Perry racked up the most mentions on Twitter microblogs, while devotees at the gig also logged online to heap praise on the singer.

One gig-goer wrote, "Katy Perry rocked the Schottenstein Center in Columbus Ohio tonight. Wow what a great show even though Katy was still sick. Thanks Katy," while another added, "Such a good show! I want to see Katy Perry again and again! In sickness or in health!"

The concert came came just two days after an upper respiratory infection forced Perry to call off a concert in Michigan on Sunday (11Sep11).
