Katy Perry: 'Defame me and watch out'

Written by . Published: January 31 2015

Katy Perry has side-stepped her silent feud with Taylor Swift in a new pre-Super Bowl magazine interview, urging her critical peers to be careful what they say about her.

Gossips suggested Perry was the "straight-up enemy" who Swift revealed had turned on her during a candid Rolling Stone piece last year (14), and the Roar singer appeared to respond to the remarks by suggesting her pop rival reminded her of a character from Lindsay Lohan's Mean Girls movie.

She tweeted, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing."

Swift told Rolling Stone that her 1989 album track Bad Blood was about the falling out.

Neither star has commented on the alleged feud since - until now.

Perry was asked about the falling out during a recent interview with Billboard and chose to take the high road, stating simply, "If somebody is trying to defame my character, you're going to hear about it."

The Roar singer will headline the 2015 Super Bowl half-time show in Arizona on Sunday (01Feb15).
