Karrueche Tran: 'If only Chris Brown would get help to be a better person'
Chris Brown's ex Karrueche Tran would consider taking the bad boy back if her got the help he needed to be a better person.
Model Tran ended her four-year on/off romance with the troubled R&B singer earlier this year (15) after learning he had fathered a child with an old pal, but in a candid new TV interview with self-help guru Iyanla Vanzant, she reveals she's still in love with Brown.
She says, "I'm human... I still love him.
"If things could change... I've tried to help him go to church,
pray, yoga, meditate... If he were to change, we'd be in a better
place but that's the problem.
"Yes, he is damaged but... I'm damaged too... That's what I do; I
go to church, I go to yoga and because I do that and I feel like a
much better person, then I'm like, 'OK, I want you to do this too,
so you can feel the same way'."
Vanzant, who fronts Iyanla: Fix My Life on Oprah Winfrey's TV
network OWN, pressed Tran on her thoughts about Brown, prompting
her manager to temporarily shut the TV chat down and caution the
host about her line of questioning.
Later, during the emotional interview, which aired on TV on
Saturday (28Mar15), Tran opened up about learning her boyfriend was
cheating on her with his ex, Rihanna, revealing she found out on
Christmas Day, 2012, after Brown left her and told her he had to be
elsewhere. Hours later he was photographed sitting courtside at a
basketball game with Rihanna.
But, despite the betrayal, the model insists Brown was a good
boyfriend, adding, "He did give me love, maybe it wasn't the right
love... (and) there's no doubt in my mind that he still loves
me."
