Kanye West fans around the globe flocked to the rapper's pop-up stores on Friday (19Aug16).

Many queued for hours to be among the first people to enter the temporary shops, where Kanye is selling exclusive merchandise linked to his album The Life of Pablo.

In all, 21 stores opened in cities such as London, Berlin, Sydney, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Cape Town, South Africa, and fans dashed to get hold of Pablo-themed T-shirts, denim jackets and hoodies designed by West and his associate Cali Thornhill DeWitt.

The rapper isn't the only musician launching a pop-up store this week - designer John Varvatos opened a temporary Guns N' Roses shop to celebrate the band's homecoming performances at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

The band's Not In This Lifetime trek rolled into town for two dates on Thursday (18Aug16), prompting fan Varvatos to set up shop at his own store on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.

The pop-up store offers exclusive and limited-edition John Varvatos X GNR collaboration pieces, including baseball hats, T-shirts, and hand-painted leather jackets, retailing for almost $1,200 (GBP920).

Varvatos previously opened a Guns N' Roses pop-up store at his location in New York City last month (Jul16).

The new Varvatos GNR store will be open throughout the weekend (19-21Aug16).
