Kanye West demanding Jimmy Kimmel publicly apologize for TV spoof
Kanye West is demanding a public apology from comedian Jimmy Kimmel after the TV host spoofed the rapper on his late night talk show.
The Stronger hitmaker published a scathing rant on his Twitter.com page on Thursday (26Sep13) after becoming infuriated with Kimmel for recently airing a sketch poking fun at an hour-long interview West recently conducted with Britain's BBC Radio 1 station.
The comedy skit featured a child actor as the outspoken hip-hop
star in a recreation of the radio chat, but the rapper was not
amused by the segment, insisting Kimmel was "out of line", before
personally attacking the presenter for his "crazy" face and making
reference to the comedian's ex-girlfriend, adding, "Sarah Silverman
is a thousand times funnier than you and the whole world knows
it!!!"
Kimmel addressed West's Twitter rant during the opening monologue
of Thursday's Jimmy Kimmel Live! show and revealed the irate star
had called his office demanding an on-air apology.
The TV host quipped, "Did anyone else get a very angry phone call
from Kanye West about an hour and a half ago? Just me? OK. I didn't
know if he was mad at all of us."
West reportedly gave the presenter two choices, one of which was
"apologize publicly".
He added, "And that was really the only choice - the other choice
he gave was my life... 'Your life is going to be much better' if I
apologize, and then he started tweeting today. And I don't even
know if I've seen some of these because they're happening as we
speak."
Kimmel then risked the wrath of West once again after reading out
one of his early tweets, which stated, "Jimmy Kimmel put yourself
in my shoes... oh no that means you would have gotten too much good
p**sy in your life..."
The comedian responded by making reference to West's girlfriend Kim
Kardashian's famous sex tape, laughing, "I've seen the video. I
know."
He later joked, "Finally, I'm in a rap feud. I always wanted to be
in a rap feud."
