Justin Bieber under police investigation in Brazil over graffiti allegations
Justin Bieber is under police investigation in Brazil after he was photographed appearing to illegally spray graffiti on the outside of a hotel in Rio de Janeiro.
The Baby hitmaker, who is currently on tour in South America, was snapped with his entourage seemingly defacing a posh hotel in Rio's Sao Conrado neighborhood on Tuesday morning (05Nov13).
Members of the local paparazzi complained to police that they had
been treated aggressively by the singer's bodyguards as they
captured Bieber's antics on film, and their comments have prompted
cops to look into whether the star had broken local laws, which ban
the destruction of property. The offense carries a fine and up to a
year behind bars.
However, authorities have denied reports suggesting they attempted
to stop Bieber from flying out of the country on Wednesday
(06Nov13) as he headed to Paraguay for his next tour stop.
The star revealed his new hobby last month (Oct13) after showing
off photos of his graffiti skills online as he tagged a wall in
Bogota, Colombia.
The graffiti investigation is the latest drama surrounding his trip
to Brazil - he stormed off stage during a concert in Sao Paulo on
Saturday (02Nov13) after he was hit in the head with a water
bottle, while he was ambushed by a topless male fan during a gig in
Rio on Sunday (03Nov13).
Meanwhile, a meet-and-greet session with Bieber reportedly left a
group of fans infuriated after he reportedly showed up three hours
late for the pricey event and then allegdly refused to interact
with the kids as they posed for photos with him.
