Justin Bieber sued by photographer over restaurant stand-off

Justin Bieber's legal woes continue to mount - a photographer has sued the singer for allegedly instructing his bodyguard to lock him in a fast food restaurant on the night the pop star was busted for a DUI.

Manuel Munoz claims Dwayne Patterson detained him in a Subway restaurant and injured him after he had taken shots of Bieber leaving a nightclub in Miami Beach, Florida in January (14).

According to his lawsuit, which has been obtained by TMZ.com, Munoz claims the bodyguard chased him into the diner, locked the restaurant door and cornered him in the bathroom, demanding that he delete the photos.

The snapper alleges Patterson tried to forcibly remove the memory card, damaging the camera, and then kicked and punched him.

Munoz filed a police report after the altercation and he is now suing Bieber and the bodyguard for unspecified damages.

Ironically, minutes after the bathroom altercation Bieber was arrested when police officers spotted him drag racing with a pal. He was slapped with counts for DUI, resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired license - accusations he has since denied.

Bieber is due in court to face the charges on 7 July (14).

He is also facing prosecution in Toronto, Canada, where he stands accused of hitting a limousine driver during a night out in December (13).
