Justin Bieber stunned by hometown honour

Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has been honoured with a special star in his native Ontario, Canada.

The Baby hitmaker expressed his love for music as a youngster by busking on the streets of the city of Stratford, where he was raised, before he was discovered by talent manager Scooter Braun at the age of 13 and subsequently signed by R&B star Usher.

Justin Bieber has won a slew of accolades ever since, but he was unaware of one award celebrating his success in his hometown - until now.

The singer learned of the prize on Friday (16Sep11), when a fan sent in a photo of the sidewalk star, in the style of Hollywood's Walk of Fame honours, via his Twitter.com page.

Justin Bieber, 17, showed off the picture on his own blog and thanked his devotees for their continued support.

He wrote, "woke up 2day (sic) and got an email of this star in front of the place i used to busk in my hometown. #DREAMBIG. and thank u (sic).

"cant (sic) help but smile. thank u to everyone who ever cared. very grateful. anything is possible. #neversaynever"

The star was cemented to the pavement in July (11).
