Justin Bieber's representatives dismiss arrest rumors

Justin Bieber's representatives have dismissed reports suggesting the pop superstar is facing an imminent arrest relating to a warrant issued in Argentina.

The Baby hitmaker is currently filming a cameo appearance for Ben Stiller's upcoming comedy Zoolander 2 in Rome, Italy, where local police reportedly gathered outside his hotel on Wednesday (29Apr15), amid reports of a pending arrest.

Bieber and one of his bodyguards became wanted men earlier this month (Apr15) after failing to respond to an Argentinian judge's demand to return to Buenos Aires for police questioning in relation to an alleged attack on local paparazzo Diego Pesoa in 2013.

Argentinian authorities notified Interpol of the active warrants, and, as a result, Bieber had to undergo a secondary search at customs when he arrived at an airport in Italy this week (begs27Apr15), according to TMZ.com.

However, a spokesperson for the singer tells GossipCop.com that claims the 21 year old will soon be taken into custody on the international warrant are nothing more than "rumors" at this stage.

The rep insists the cops, who had been photographed outside Bieber's hotel, were actually consulting with the star's security team about crowd control and safety issues.

Bieber isn't in the clear just yet - officials in Italy and Argentina have an extradition treaty, which could still cause him problems.

Pesoa maintains the singer's bodyguards attacked him on Bieber's orders as he attempted to snap pictures of the star leaving a nightclub in Argentina. The snapper claims he had to seek hospital treatment for his injuries.
