Justin Bieber's dad engaged

Justin Bieber is preparing for a wedding - his father Jeremy is engaged to his longtime love.

Jeremy Bieber, 41, popped the question to his girlfriend Chelsey Rebelo, 28, last week (ends21Feb16) while on vacation in St. Barts.

Jeremy confirmed the engagement news by posting a video of the big moment on Twitter, adding the caption, "The beginning of a new journey with Chelsey Rebelo."

In the clip, Jeremy leads Chelsey to a scenic outlook, before getting down on one knee and presenting an engagement ring to his new fiancee.

Justin was not able to be there for the magic moment, but the news comes a day after the Sorry singer won a BRIT Award for International Male Solo Artist in London on Wednesday (23Feb16).

Jeremy was in a relationship with Justin's mom Pattie Mallette for nearly five years, but they split 10 months after she gave birth to Justin in 1994.

Jeremy has two other children, Jaxon and Jazmyn, with ex-girlfriend Erin Wagner.
